What is UX/UI design?

A web designer is responsible for how the user interacts with a product or service. Although to give a more precise definition, we must differentiate between UI and UX.

UX or User Experience studies the user’s needs and aligns them with the business objectives. So, the UX Designer is the person in charge of evaluating the user’s needs to look for a continuous improvement in the user’s sensations by improving the product. Usually, a UX Designer has knowledge of psychology, marketing, business, and graphic design, among many others.

UI or User Interface is the set of elements that allow the user to interact with a system. Therefore, the UI Designer is the professional in charge of creating the visual interface of the product so that it is in line with the user’s experience. Among the activities of a UI Designer are the design of elements, interaction design, interface design, and usability guides.

Therefore, we can say that UX is the experience and usability that a brand or product gives you when you interact with, whereas UI is the visual side of shapes, elements, colors, and textures.

Design UX/UI important?

As we have already seen, UX and UI Design is the ability to solve real user problems and the possibility of doing more for less. Both factors make this type of design very relevant in the workplace.

In recent years, most of the world’s companies have been forced to carry out an early digitalization, so their website or mobile app has ended up being the epicenter through which all customers buy their products or services. This digital process has made the user experience on these websites crucial for the future of the companies. This is why many companies started to look for UX and UI Designers desperately.

The UX UI Design sector is one of the most promising ones, as stated in the prestigious study ‘America’s 100 Best Jobs’ conducted by CNNMoney/Pascal. According to which the UX / UI Designer job occupies the 14th place in the ranking.

To summarize, the main reasons why we think you should consider training as a UX UI Designer are the possibility of working remotely, the strong demand, and the fact that you will be able to work with real and visual products.
