As we move deeper and deeper into the revolution brought about by digitalisation, new technologies that once seemed like science fiction are coming into our lives. A clear example of this (and one that we are sure you have already heard about) is the phenomenon of artificial intelligence, which has materialised in applications such as ChatGPT-3.
Maybe you don’t know what we are talking about, but we are sure that after reading this article, you will want to go running to try this powerful tool.
Chat GPT is a chat based on an artificial intelligence language, capable of performing tasks surprisingly effective and in a similar way to the human race. Do you want to know how to use Chat GPT and all its applications? Well, read on. We will explain it in detail.
Do you know all that this technology has to offer? We explain you everything about Deep Learning
👨💻 What is ChatGPT?
Before going into detail on the applications that ChatGPT has, it is important to know where it comes from.
This chat system was developed by OpenAI, a company founded in 2015 by Elon Musk, whose purpose is to deepen research into artificial intelligence responsibly and safely.
Among OpenAI’s most recent achievements is the creation of DALL-E 2, a tool capable of generating images by artificial intelligence. Its ability to do this is incredible, creating highly realistic images through very simple commands.
Take for example this image below that we have asked DALL-E 2 to create. Our request was to recreate a unicorn navigating the blockchain, in an impressionist drawing style. With this request and in just a few seconds, DALL-E was able to design this image, along with four others.
After the success and viralisation of DALL-E 2, Open AI has once again surprised everyone by launching Chat GPT. This chat is based on GPT technology (specifically GPT 3) or Generative Pretrained Transformer, a language model that uses deep learning to generate text in a very similar way to how a human would do it.
Specifically, this artificial intelligence learns based on text, so thanks to this conversational training, it can be increasingly detailed in its responses and do so in a natural way.
But that’s not all, as you can not only converse with this AI, but it is also capable of writing with great precision, explaining complex concepts clearly and concisely, as well as generating programmatic code or solving mathematical operations.
Would you like to give it a try? We explain how to get the most out of it.
How ChatGPT works
Now let’s get to the main course: how can you use ChatGPT and what can it do. To start with, you will have to go to the official Chat GPT3 website, where, after registering for free, you will find a menu with a bar and a button on the right.
Note that you may find yourself on a waiting list, as it is being used by many people.
As you might guess, getting started is as easy as typing in the text bar what you want to ask Chat GPT to give you an answer. When you start you will see some suggestions of things you can ask it, its capabilities and some warnings about its limitations.
You can make requests in English and you can even have conversations and solve complex problems, all expressed in natural language.
We recommend that you let your imagination run wild, as this is how you will discover its full potential.
By the way, keep in mind that this artificial intelligence chat feeds on conversations to keep learning, so everything you write will be recorded and will be used to improve its performance.
So avoid sharing personal details and make sure not to make certain requests.
What is ChatGPT capable of today?
The truth is that the possibilities are countless and it can meet complex requests. As we said, the best thing to do is to experiment by talking to artificial intelligence and making requests.
You can ask him to explain complex concepts, such as quantum computing; to summarise historical events in less than 100 words (very useful for students) or for program with lines of code.
You can even do like us and ask for a custom script that includes different elements. This is amazing and we are starting to see how content creators are adapting to this new technology, and using it to create their scripts.
The truth is that many are already pointing out that this system (or similar AI-based systems) could even put giants like Google in check, rivalling its search system.
Perhaps this is still a long way off, but we can’t take our eye off the ball and continue to keep an eye on what this technology has to offer.
Additionally, if you find everything that is to come so exciting and want to immerse yourself in this world, we recommend our specialised training in Data Science.
